How do I book a treatment?

What is reiki?
Reiki:
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that involves the practitioner placing their hands on, or near the body to balance the energy flow within. It can safely be used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments, or on its own...
What happens in a treatment?
Upon arrival on your first visit, you will be asked to fill out an 'intake form' and we will discuss your motivation for Reiki and your general well-being. There will be time to ask questions and have the system of Reiki explained.

The treatment will then follow - wherever possible you will lay flat on a massage table and be made comfortable and warm. If lying on your back is tricky for you, it is possible to sit in a chair. You will be asked to relax, and close your eyes. The rest is down to Libby.

As the energy flows you may experience feelings of warmth and heat in the body.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing, with nothing too tight around the waist. You will be asked to remove your watch, shoes, a tight belt if wearing one and your glasses should you have any.
What should I expect after the treatment?
You will be encouraged to drink water in the period following your treatment to assist with the cleanse. As Reiki helps to clear out held emotions you may feel a little emotional following the treatment, this is normal.

A lot of clients express that they sleep exceptionally well on the evening of their treatment; they also express that they feel calmer and more relaxed.

It is important to give yourself 'you time' if possible following the treatment for best results.

Meditation:
WHAT IS Meditation?
Meditation is a way of bringing greater calm, clarity and connection into your life. It empowers you with the gift of being able to look within, get to know yourself better, an ability to listen to your thoughts in a detached way and observe the mind, body and spirit.
I can't Meditate - my mind remains busy
Meditation is not about stopping your thoughts. It is a pathway to being able to observe them without interacting with them. In order to achieve this, you will be given a focus for your attention during the class - this can be the breath, a guided meditation, sound or a visualisation. Meditation will help improve your awareness, as each and every time you become aware during meditation that you are interacting with your thoughts - you return immediately to the method with your full focus. As with all things, it takes a bit of practice, but the rewards and benefits are worth the effort.
Do I have to sit on the floor in a crossed legged position?
NO!!! You can sit on a chair, or bring your own meditation pad/cushion/stool. You will be encouraged to adopt a certain posture, but this can be done, sat on a chair. If need be, you can lay flat if that's the best and most comfortable position for you.
