Is a practice that involves focusing the mind to achieve a state of calm awareness. It involves directing your attention to a specific focus eg, the breath, a mantra or a visual image. Meditation helps to bring your attention to observe your thoughts and emotions without making any judgements about them more easily; thus creating space for an inner sense of calm and peacefulness.
Group classes and one to one/two are available.

It gently directs your attention away from interacting with your thoughts so that you become the observer. It is not about completely stopping the free flow of thought as thoughts will always arise; but with regular practice we can ease the grip of our interaction with them.

This course is for complete beginners or for those who feel a little lost with their meditating and wish to get back to basics. During the 4 x one and a quarter hours the following will be covered:

A variety of Meditation methods.

This is a class for those who already meditate, regardless of level/experience and for those who have completed the 4 week Introductory Course. Meditating in a group can be very empowering. As the weeks go by a variety of different methods will be used, including:

Visualisation meditations

Sound meditations
​
If you have a preferred posture position for meditation, please bring your own cushion or meditation stool. Please bring a cushion and a small blanket.
